Foundation Transition

At Bimbadeen Heights Primary School, we are delighted to welcome new families into our school community.

Our comprehensive Foundation Transition Program is designed to support children and their families as they prepare for the exciting journey into primary school. The program includes four engaging afternoon sessions that introduce children to our school environment and familiarise them with our classrooms, Foundation teachers, and the daily routines of school life. These sessions are filled with fun, hands-on learning activities to help children feel confident and ready to start their school journey.

Alongside the Foundation Transition Afternoons, we run concurrent Transition Sessions for Parents and Carers. These informal presentations ensure that both new and returning families have all the information they need to support their child as they begin their journey at Bimbadeen. It’s also a wonderful opportunity to meet the Leadership Team and key support staff who will work closely with your child throughout their time at school.

Families of enrolled students will receive our ‘Transition to Bimbadeen’ schedule for Term 4 as part of the School Readiness Pack, distributed during the Parent Information Night at the end of Term 3. For added convenience, this information, including all dates, will also be emailed to families at the beginning of Term 4.

We also encourage families to attend our Open Night in Term 2 (exact date is published at the beginning of each school year). This event provides an opportunity to explore our wonderful school, meet our dedicated staff, and see our vibrant learning spaces and beautiful school grounds.
